Our rates change every year. How do I manage these rate changes in Runn for projects that span several years?

In Runn, one project can only have one consistent project rate for each role over the entire duration of the project. We suggest creating a new project for each year, so you can customize the project rate.

If you would like to report on the metrics of the overall project (summing up multiple years):

  • Create a Single Select Project Custom Field and add the internal Project ID or Project Name as an option

  • Add the same internal Project ID/ Project Name custom field to the projects of different years. In the example below, the internal Project ID, A1234 is added under the "Parent Project" custom field:

  • On the Project Planner, you can group by the custom field to group these projects together:

  • In reports, add the custom field as a grouping, and you can view the overall project budget, revenue and cost across multiple years:
