The Manager user type has the second highest level of access within Runn and can access everything a Contributor can by default.

All Manager Users can view:

  • Project Planner (All Projects, Project details and dashboards)

  • People Planner (All People and Person details and dashboards)

  • Reports

  • Account-wide data and settings (under Manage Tab)

The ability to edit Projects and People depends on the Manage Projects and Manage People settings.

All Manager Users can view, but not edit, the following Account-wide data under the Manage Tab:

  • Clients

  • Rate Cards

  • Workstreams

  • Roles (only Admins have the ability to create new roles)

  • Skills

  • Teams

  • Tags

  • Users

  • Activity Log

  • Views Settings

  • Export assignments and actuals (timesheet data) of all Projects (only when Financial Data Permissions is set as All)

They cannot view nor edit:

  • Custom Field Settings

  • Account Settings

  • Any other settings exclusive to Admin users

Manage Projects - On

The user can:

  • Edit All or a Restricted list of projects (Check out Projects Access to learn more).

  • Save custom reports

Manage Projects - Off

The user can only view, but not edit, any projects on the planner.

Specifically, the Manager can:

  • Only view all Projects and Project Templates

  • View and Export data of all projects from Reports

  • Export actual hours on timesheets and assignment data for all Projects from Settings > Export (Only if Financial Data Permission is set as All)

They cannot:

  • Edit, Create or Delete any Projects or Project Templates

  • Save custom reports

Manage People - On

The user can:

  • Edit All or a Restricted list of people (Check out People Access to learn more)

  • Save custom reports

Manage People - Off

The Manager can only view all People. They cannot edit any person details. They also cannot save custom reports.

Editing Timesheets

If the user's Project Access is set as All or Restricted, even if Manage People is set as Off, they still have the right to edit the person's timesheet hours logged to a project that they manage.
