Hiring Report - how to see my future hiring needs in the People Report

Only Admin and Managers users have access to our Reports module. Please check out help article to learn more about Reports: Permissions

People Explorer Report

You can generate a report with our People Explorer Reporting Tool, which will provide insights into the total number of scheduled working hours and the associated costs for hiring new employees.

  1. Go to Reports > Explorer

  2. Click on the Filter button, click on Person Type, and choose Placeholders

  3. Click Done

  4. Click the Columns button and tick Skills, Person Tags and Team (you can also tick other fields if needed)

  5. Click Apply

  6. Click the Group, click on Add Grouping and tick Default Role

  7. Click Done and click Apply
    ​

  8. Choose the Date Range OR Period and Date Range

  9. Click on the Columns button, click on Financials, select Project Cost and un-check other metrics if they are not needed

  10. Scroll down and click on Effort, select Total (h) and click Apply

  11. You can also select the effort unit. Click the Display button and choose between Hours and FTE

Example

In the example above if you display your effort unit in FTE you'll be able to see that you'll require 0.11 FTE of Application Engineer to do the work in February.

Total Hours in February for Application Engineer: 18 hours

Capacity of one full-time Application Engineer: 160 hours (40-hour per week)

FTE required = 0.11 FTE

Export to CSV

Once you get the information you need, you can click the Export CSV button.

Can I see the specific projects associated with a placeholder role?

Yes! You can.

  1. Click on the Filter button, click on Person Type, and choose Placeholder > Done

  2. Click on the arrow next to the placeholder icon to get a placeholder-based view
