What are pro-rated charges?

A pro-rated charge occurs when a new seat (either by editing the resource seat count, adding a new resource or unarchiving an existing one) is added during a billing cycle. For monthly plans, a pro-rated charge or credit is calculated and applied to the next billing month.

For annual plans, no credits are issued. Adding a new seat directly on the billing page will create a pro-rated charge to the end of the billing cycle that will be invoiced immediately if you are paying by credit card. If a new person is added and there is no available seats, a new seat will be created on the 20th of the month and pro-rated to the end of the billing cycle. Your credit card will charged on the 21st. If you are paying via a bank transfer, pro-rated charges will apply at renewal or mid-terms as per your agreement with us.

What is the difference between "person managed" and "user" in Runn?

Person managed (or managed resource) is a person who can be assigned to work on projects in Runn.

Users are people who require access to Runn, but are not necessarily involved in project-related assignments, such as those in HR, Accounting, or the CEO. Users are not assigned to projects nor can they be allocated assignments. Users are free and unlimited so you can add as many as required.

Please note: an individual also has the ability to function as both a managed resource and user simultaneously.

What happens to my billing if I delete or archive a person managed?

We charge per resource seat and each person managed on the planner requires a seat. Archiving or deleting a person does not automatically reduce the resource seat count. The seat is now freed up for another person to use.

For monthly plans, if the seat is no longer needed, an account admin must remove it from the billing section to update the monthly charge. We look at seats daily and prorate any credits. These are added to your next monthly bill.

For annual plans, this will not have any effect, and no credit is applied, as the minimum resource seat count is prepaid and fixed for the annual billing period. You can still edit the resource seat count mid-term, but it will only apply at renewal. Be sure to have the correct number of seats before your renewal date!

What happens to my billing if I add a person to the planner?

If you have an available resource seat, there will be no extra cost. So if an employee is deleted or archived in Runn, their seat is freed up. When you hire their replacement, they will now occupy this seat.

If no seat is available, a new seat will be added automatically, and a prorated charge will be applied in the next billing cycle.

What if I delete my account?

If you choose to delete your account instead of deactivate, you will not be able to access your account anymore, and any payment already made will be forfeited and any money owed will be forgiven.

Do I need to pay tax?

Tax applies only to New Zealand- and Australia-based organizations.

If your organization is based in the EU, USA or any region other than New Zealand & Australia, no tax will be added.
