Overview

Reports is getting a much needed facelift! An improved version of our reporting module is coming this month as the cornerstone of our new Insights initiative. We kept the flexibility and real-time aspect of our classic reports while adding more metrics, better grouping, and more flexibility in how you build and manage your reports. As well, this new reporting module will let us add more requested features, like visuals & charts, industry reports and other exporting options.

You will be able to access Reports in the same way as before (and for a few weeks you'll be able to toggle back to Classic Reports), but Reports page will look a little different. We've rebuild our Classic Reports, but they will serve as Presets going forward (except for the Cumulative & Milestone reports which will still be using our older interface). All custom saved reports will appear below with the last updated date.

Although the reports will look similar, there are many new enhancements and UI improvements to help you set up your reports as you need them.

Advantages of New Reports

We kept the flexibility and real-time aspect of our classic reports and added the following based on customer feedback:

  • More Metrics across all reports

    • Project Reports now share all metrics (Project Overview & Period)

    • Project Reports now have people & people custom fields available & vice versa

    • People Reports now share all metrics (People Explorer, Utilization, Variance & Timesheet)

  • Better Grouping

    • "Detailed" & "Group By" work at the same time

    • Group by project fields in people reports & vice versa

    • Multi-level grouping (alternate the order as needed)

    • Group by Phase & Workstreams (Enterprise/Premium only)

  • Improved Filtering & Searching

    • Planner filter to provide clarity on your filter selections & filter faster

    • Added a Search Bar to help you find or isolate data faster

  • Flexibility in date ranges & time periods

    • Set a Custom Date Range

    • Days reporting in all reports

    • Toggle between Project Overview & Period reports seamlessly

  • New Display Options

    • See your data in Hours or FTE

  • Create & Save Custom Reports (Premium & Enterprise Only)

    • Start with Presets or existing custom reports & customize to your needs

    • Saved Reports are are available to other users with the correct permissions

  • Improved High Level Calculations

    • Now rounding numbers instead of displaying decimals

    • Adjustments of certain metrics in Classic Reports to align more with customer feedback

    • More clarity when calculations at a certain level aren't available

Difference Log

Add Contract Status in Fields and then toggle on Tentative. You can then turn on some off individually
