We will be undertaking some improvements to user permissions.
The changes will allow more flexibility and granularity when setting users' permissions. We will be making these changes in stages and are excited to give you more options and flexibility.
What are we improving?
We are enabling more granular control of People and Projects. Under the new permission structure, you can:
Assign Data Manager to help with data management in Runn with restricted financial access
Assign People Manager to only edit People but not projects
Restrict Project Manager's right to assign people to their projects
Re-structuring Permission Access Levels
The names and structure of permissions will be changing. Currently, we have 5 different Account Types. Account types will be called User types. You will have 3 user types to select from:
Current Account Type | Future User Type |

Customize Project Managers' right to add people to their projects
Depending on your organization's usual practice, you can allow a Project Manager to add anyone, only people they managed or nobody, to their projects.
