There will be times you may need to compare different scenarios for a single project, for example:
What is the optimal start date given my capacity?
What's the effect on my team's capacity if I assign this group of project team members instead of another group?
To compare different versions of a tentative project's impact on people availability or future utilization, follow these steps.
Step 1: Duplicate the tentative project
From the Project Planner, turn on the Tentative Toggle
Identify the tentative project and duplicate it
Adjust the copied version of the project as needed (i.e. reschedule, reassign people etc.)
Rename the copied version of the project to something identifiable (e.g. iHumanOS - delayed 2 weeks or iHumanOS - reduced hours)
Step 2: Toggle on each project individually
Here are 2 ways to toggle on each version individually, and you can view the real-time impact:
Option 1: Tentative Toggle Drop-down menu
Turn on Charts on the Project Planner. Apply a filter to the Chart if you like to focus on a person or a specific group of people
Turn off the All Tentative Toggle, click on the grey arrow next to the Tentative Toggle and toggle on each version individually:

Option 2: Tentative Toggle under Project Name on Project Planner
Turn on the all Tentative Toggle at the top of the Project Planner
All tentative projects are now visible
Turn on or off the Tentative Toggle under each tentative project to include or exclude its workload from the Charts or People Planner calculations:
Step 3: See the impact on workload vs capacity in Charts
See how the capacity, availability, and utilization charts change as you toggle on each version of the project in real-time
Step 4: Delete the version that is not needed
After comparing the two versions, once you've decided which plan to go for, make sure you delete the other tentative project to prevent duplicating metrics in reporting.

View the impact for each individual person on People Planner
Turn on the Tentative Toggle at the top of the People Planner
All tentative projects are now visible when you expand a person
Turn on or off the Tentative Toggle next to each tentative project's name to include or exclude its workload from the Charts or People Planner calculations:
Note that this will include or exclude all of the tentative project's workload for all people in the project from the calculations. Only including or excluding a specific person's workload in a project is not supported at the moment.
