What is a "Seat" in Runn's Subscription Pricing?
A seat refers to a single resource (person managed) license. People managed in Runn (not users) must each be assigned a resource seat as this is the unit that accounts are billed against. If more people added, more seats must be purchased and will increase the total cost.
Seats are needed for all active people managed. If the person has been archived or deleted, the seat will be freed up and available for a new resource to occupy. However, if that seat is no longer needed, Admins need to adjust the number of seats on the billing page to reduce your monthly bill. Annual plans need only to adjust this number at renewal when applicable. (Your CSM will contact you 30 days with a renewal package).
How do users add a seats?
This can be done in 2 ways- manually and automatically.
Manually
Only Admins with the permission 'Account settings - On' can manually adjust the number of seats:
Navigate to the Plan & Billing section in Settings and follow the add/remove seats prompts.
Automatically
Admins and Managers with people permissions can add seats. If no seat is available, and they add a new resource or unarchive an existing one- then a new seat (pro-rated for monthly) will automatically be added and the billing page updated.
How do users remove a resource seat?
Unoccupied seats can be removed by Admins with the 'Account settings - On' from the billing page. You are not able to remove a seat unless it is free and not occupied by a managed person. If it is removed, a pro-rated credit will be applied to the next monthly payment.
Please note that deleting a user (not resource) will automatically delete any custom reports they created.
