Not all user permissions allow you to create or edit reports. Please refer to the Reports permissions grid for more information.
These are NOT personal reports. These will be available to anyone with the correct permissions to view or edit. There is no way to revert back to an older version of your report - so be sure to follow best practices.
Creating & Saving Custom Reports From Presets
Choose an appropriate preset (Created By Runn.io). You can click on the column headers to sort in a certain order or you can use the search bar to find what you are looking for. The default is the presets will be listed above the saved reports.
Determine if this is applicable to a specific View and if so, select the correct one. Views are shared filters- so may not work for all reports.
Determine if you wish to include Tentative projects. If so, toggle it on and either choose all, or select the appropriate projects.
If you need a specific set of data, use the filter or search bar to isolate it. For example, if you need to report on a specific client or team, choose this from the filter. If you need just one person or one project, use the search bar.
Review the Metrics selected in Columns- these are collapsed- so be sure to click on them to open them up. (Review How to use Reports) Click on them to uncheck what you don't want. (an empty box means these columns will be removed)
Add grouping as needed. You can move these around to set up the right order of multi-level breakdown.
Choose the either Custom Date Range or Period to set the timeline for this report. Overview is also available for Project reports.
Once you've done any changes to the preset- "Changes made to the report" will appear as well as a Create Report button.
Click on Create Report and name it as per your organization's naming convention and click on Create.
Making Changes to your Report
Open your report.
Make any changes your need.
Hover over "Save" and choose "Save Changes"
Creating Reports From An Existing Custom Report
Click on the project you want to start from. You will be NOT be prompted to clone it - so you'll need to make one small change first. The easiest change is to adjust the either the columns or date.
Changes made to the report will appear with a "Save" option.
Hover over "Save" and choose "Create a New Report".
Name this report based on your organization's naming convention.
Complete the steps above to customize your new report.
As reports can be used by multiple users for different purpose, Display (FTE or Hours) is not part of saving reports.
