What is the difference between my test account and live account?

When you sign up for an account in Runn, it comes with a Live Account and a Test account. The Test Account is a sandbox environment which allows you to test out new functions, API and integrations without affecting the actual data in your Live Account.

Only Admin and Manager users can switch to the Test Account. Contributor users do not have access to the Test Account.

There is no activity log or notifications in the Test Account, as it is a sandbox environment.

In the Test Account, users can:

Copy Live Account Data

Admin and manager users can copy your data and settings from the live account to simulate the same dataset when you are testing different functions.

  • You can check the last copied time by hovering your cursor on the click icon on the yellow bar at the top:


Note: We do not support copying data from the Test account to Live account as we want to ensure that any changes made to the Live account are intentional.

Reset Test Account

Admin and manager users can clear the existing data and settings in the Test Account and reset to the default account settings with demo data:

Delete Test Account Data

  • Only available to Admin users

  • Admin can delete all Test Account Data and set the Test Account to a blank state: by going to Test Account > Account Settings > Account Actions > Delete Test Account Data:
