➡️ Projected Total Capacity and Workload
The Projected Total Capacity vs. Workload chart highlights any capacity deficit (when effective capacity is below the scheduled workload) by role.
Turn on Tentative to include potential work.
Click the roles deficits at the bottom to isolate the roles with a deficit
Effective Capacity: Total effective capacity of people with the selected role(s).
Roles: Includes all your organization’s roles.
Workload: The project workload is calculated using scheduled hours for the specified role, applied to any project, including workload added to both people and placeholders. The workload list is filtered to show only the projects that include the selected role(s).
👋 By default, all projects are filtered with all roles selected, and the tentative workload is turned off.
➡️ Capacity Chart
The Capacity chart helps verify whether your confirmed workloads added to people and placeholders are within your people's effective capacity.
Keys:
Purple Area = Effective Capacity
Blue Bars = Confirmed Workload
Light Blue Bars = Tentative Workload
How to read the chart
If the bars exceeded the purple area, your people are overcapacity
If the bars are within the purple area, your people still have the capacity to take on more work
How to customize the chart
Toggle on the tentative workload to assess if you have sufficient capacity for future work.
Click on People or Placeholders to apply additional filters
🕰️ The Capacity chart does not show historical data, including the current period.
➡️ Availability Chart
Determine when people become available to take on more work and keep track of overbooking. Placeholders' workload is included by default to show the impact of unassigned work on the overall availability
⚠️ While people can have both workload and capacity, placeholders can only have workload.
Keys:
Green bar = positive remaining availability (workload is below effective capacity)
Red bar = overbooking (workload exceeds effective capacity)
How to customize the chart
Toggle on the tentative workload to assess how that impacts people's availability
Hover over each month to see the overbooking.
Click on People or Placeholders to apply additional filters
🕰️ The Availability chart does not show historical data, including the current period.
